Welcome to The Goodale Retreat! This 2 bedroom, 2 full bath Victorian Village escape, sleeps 4. Our property overlooks the beautiful Goodale Park. Walkable to local favorites such as Marcella’s, The Pearl, Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream, and so much more. This is a prime location in the heart of the city for nightlife, weekend getaways, business, and conventions! Close to downtown, Short North, The Greater Columbus Convention Center, wedding venues, The Ohio State University, and highways.
The Goodale Retreat is a historic and spacious 2-bedroom, 2-bath lower unit designed for a rejuvenating stay. Our home is on the first level of a duplex overlooking the amazing Goodale Park. Enjoy an open grass area, along with skyline views of Downtown Columbus! Our apartment includes 2 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms, 1 dedicated parking space in the back, and shared use of the beautiful fenced in back yard. Our apartment also includes a convenient work from home area. Our kitchen features stainless steel appliances and is fully stocked with cookware for your use.
Guests will have full exclusive access to the lower unit of the duplex.

This property is in a stunning location directly across the street from Goodale Park in the Victorian Village (a historic and beautiful part of downtown), conveniently located near many attractions and top rated Columbus restaurants. The Short North is a great walkable neighborhood with over 50 bars and restaurants along the High Street corridor. We are surrounded by beautifully restored historic homes and local attractions!

Parties & unauthorized gatherings are strictly prohibited, and hosts reserve the right to withhold arrival instructions of confirmed reservations from guests with negative or low reviews, are under 25 years old and/or live closer than 100 miles from the home at the host's discretion in an effort to ensure the safety and security of our community, (impacted guests will be notified shortly after booking, and a full refund will be provided if the guest cancels the reservation in a timely manner).
PET FEES: Guests are required to disclose how many pets will enter the home. A one-time fee will be required based on the length of stay for the following amounts:

A Beautiful and Spacious Retreat The place was very clean and the host very responsive. I had an issue and needed a special favor. The host was very accommodating and helped us get everything together that we needed. Definitely plan on staying here again in the near future. Great location for a couple of days in Columbus! Host was easy to communicate with and the listing is as listed. Stately home built in 1800s. Lovely park across street, safe neighborhood. Problems: keypad code to door didnt work; texted for new code and got response in 10 minutes. Couldnt locate laundry machines & host listed in info book couldn't be reached. The airbnb contact appeared to be a rep for a property management company with no knowledge of house; after several hours, he sent code for an exterior door to the not-so-clean laundry. Our inability to access internet was unremedied for 3 days. Two free parking spaces were advertised but were unavailable for part of 1 day. This historic house was spacious and kitchen was nice and new, though the rest was not as fully renovated. Property was supplied with barest minimum of amenities: we 3 guests shared 4 bath towels & 2 hand towels for 5 nights. Given the disruptions, the rep volunteered a discount but it never materialized. In all, we felt that the property met basic requirements but that we paid rather more than value received.
