Welcome to The Goodale Retreat! This 2 bedroom, 2 full bath Victorian Village escape, sleeps 4. Our property overlooks the beautiful Goodale Park. Walkable to local favorites such as Marcella’s, The Pearl, Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream, and so much more. This is a prime location in the heart of the city for nightlife, weekend getaways, business, and conventions! Close to downtown, Short North, The Greater Columbus Convention Center, wedding venues, The Ohio State University, and highways.
The Goodale Retreat is a historic and spacious 2-bedroom, 2-bath lower unit designed for a rejuvenating stay. Our home is on the first level of a duplex overlooking the amazing Goodale Park. Enjoy an open grass area, along with skyline views of Downtown Columbus! Our apartment includes 2 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms, 1 dedicated parking space in the back, and shared use of the beautiful fenced in back yard. Our apartment also includes a convenient work from home area. Our kitchen features stainless steel appliances and is fully stocked with cookware for your use.
Guests will have full exclusive access to the lower unit of the duplex.

This property is in a stunning location directly across the street from Goodale Park in the Victorian Village (a historic and beautiful part of downtown), conveniently located near many attractions and top rated Columbus restaurants. The Short North is a great walkable neighborhood with over 50 bars and restaurants along the High Street corridor. We are surrounded by beautifully restored historic homes and local attractions!

Parties & unauthorized gatherings are strictly prohibited, and hosts reserve the right to withhold arrival instructions of confirmed reservations from guests with negative or low reviews, are under 25 years old and/or live closer than 100 miles from the home at the host's discretion in an effort to ensure the safety and security of our community, (impacted guests will be notified shortly after booking, and a full refund will be provided if the guest cancels the reservation in a timely manner).
PET FEES: Guests are required to disclose how many pets will enter the home. A one-time fee will be required based on the length of stay for the following amounts:

The location was great. It was easy to get in and out of for sure. The home was super cute and cozy. It had the space and everything we needed. The host was very kind and responded quickly. Unfortunately, due to extremely rude upstairs neighbors we had a horrible experience. I read the reviews prior and was fully prepared to have “noise” like walking, going up and down steps, etc. Our neighbors were partying both nights we were there. I let the host know about this the first night but they didn’t see my message until the morning. Totally understandable. They said they would take action against this as it is clearly listed this is prohibited behavior at this property. However it happened again the second night. I believe they should have been asked to leave after breaking one of the main important rules the first time. I still wanted to leave a decent and honest review because the home and location were nice, our experience was just not. It was miserable. Lovely home. Kind, responsive host. I had a great stay. I will definitely be back. This was really a convenient location and a nice place to stay. It’s an old house, so upstairs noise is a bit bothersome. But overall worked out very well. Great little stay for the two of us and our 2 dogs during a week of Christmas. (My brother-in-law commented that it would be a great rental for the annual CommFest too.)
Nice park right across the street provided great morning walk access for the dogs - we were within walking distance of coffee and nice restaurants in the short North too. There were tennis/pickleball courts there which we made use of.
Good location, good city, good communication, no surpises!
