Relax and unwind at The Highmeadow Retreat, a clean and cozy 2-bedroom townhome tucked into a quiet Gahanna neighborhood, close to Easton, New Albany, Westerville, the airport, and just 15 minutes from downtown Columbus or Ohio State. The open living, dining, and kitchen space is stocked with the basics for a great meal, and the shared green yard and back patio offer a peaceful spot to unwind. A basement washer and dryer round out this quiet, easy home base. The space The Highmeadow Retreat is a cozy clean space that is perfect for your stay in the North East part of Columbus. Close to Easton, New Albany, Westerville, the Airport, and only 15 min from downtown Columbus or OSU. Our spot is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood, just a few blocks from the main road. Our house is a duplex house, and we are the left side. However it is a great design, and you wont even know we have neighbors! There is a lot of green space in our yard, that we share with our neighbor. Our yard is not fenced in, but responsible pet owners are welcome to use the yard with their pets on leash. Don't miss our back patio! The main level of the house has a large living room/dining room and kitchen that spans the entire living area of the house. It has a cozy seating area with a mounted Smart TV and a desk for working. The dining room has a new table and seating to share a meal together. You will also find a full kitchen stocked with the basics for preparing a great meal, as well as a guest bathroom. The basement is clean, and has a washer and dryer for your use while here! Other things to note Guests must provide a valid driver’s license or ID and sign our Rental Agreement after booking to receive arrival instructions. Parties & unauthorized gatherings are strictly prohibited, and hosts reserve the right to withhold arrival instructions of confirmed reservations from guests with negative or low reviews, are under 25 years old and/or live closer than 100 miles from the home at the host's discretion in an effort to ensure the safety and security of our community, (impacted guests will be notified shortly after booking, and a full refund will be provided if the guest cancels the reservation in a timely manner). PET FEES: Guests are required to disclose how many pets will enter the home. A one-time fee will be required based on the length of stay for the following amounts: $35 (Less than 5 nights) $50 (5 - 30 nights) $100 (30+ nights prorated daily, or $75 for each additional full month booked)

We stayed at Benjamin’s place for 5 nights while our home was being renovated, and overall we had a really comfortable stay. The house was cozy, check-in and check-out were easy, and Benjamin and his team were always very responsive whenever we reached out. The only reason we gave 4 stars instead of 5 was the significant amount of ants in the living room, especially around the back door. We were constantly killing and cleaning up new ones as they appeared. 🐜 We let Benjamin know, and he handled it really well—he apologized right away and even offered to send an exterminator during our stay. We declined because we weren’t too bothered and didn’t want to interrupt our stay, but they assured us the issue would be addressed afterward. Aside from surviving the great ant invasion 😂, we had a great experience and really appreciated how kind, understanding, and responsive the hosts were. Once the ant issue is taken care of, this would easily be a 5-star stay! We’d happily stay here again too!!

This was one of the most disappointing Airbnb stays I’ve had. The property was not clean and looked nothing like the listing photos. The towels provided had brown stains, there was wet towels left in the washer from the previous guest and the bedding had dog hair on it. The ceiling fan was covered in dust and even the kitchen cutlery was dirty. It was clear the home had not been properly cleaned or inspected before our arrival.
As an Airbnb host myself, I understand that things can occasionally be missed, but cleanliness and preparation are the foundation of a good guest experience. If I presented my property in this condition, I would be embarrassed. The condition of the home did not match the expectations set by the listing and I would not recommend staying here unless these issues are addressed.

Ben was a great host with a lovely home that had everything needed while I was on my work trip. Would definitely come back if I get the opportunity to do so.
