Great location if you're looking to take advantage of staying near OSU's campus and a really unique experience staying in such a charming and old place in the middle of such a bustling area. We stayed there since we were going to an OSU game and it was perfect being able to walk to and from. The houses surrounding us were having parties but you couldn't tell when inside.
My kids loved the many "secret" doors. There's a ton of space, though the beds are as big as they would have been back in the days.
As expected with older places, it's a bit dusty and the outlets were minimal, so I wish we would have brought extra adaptors. Outside of that, it was a fun and unique place to stay at!

Very cool stay in a historic home. The floors, walls, fireplaces, and windows are amazing. Seeing the old nails and hatchet marks on the logs take you back to a simpler time before Columbus sprouted up around this unique home. It is smack dab in the middle of what appears to be off campus college housing. We loved the vibe of the house and the yard. The beds are comfy and the neighborhood was quiet for a good night's sleep.

Host was responsive. There was a lot of broken glass in the alley and driveway but not at the fault of the host, and I assume this to be true because we witnessed a woman nearby throwing glass in another lot??? It was on campus so we did not feel unsafe. We had to pick up toilet paper because only one roll was provided, which I saw in other reviews as well. All areas that are defined as a part of the stay were clean. Air conditioning units were adequate but only two rooms have AC (the full bed and room with two twin beds upstairs). The yard and garden were stunning and I almost wish we'd extended our stay for that alone. We woke up to the sound of glass breaking (a theme) first thing in the morning. The shelf above the sink had fallen off the wall. The host was super kind about the situation. Hidden room was very cool in a Twin Peaks sort of way. I overall enjoyed my stay. I enjoyed the age of the home, but it may not be for everyone.

For a property with early checkout time (10am) and late check in time (4pm), I was surprised to have to wait until 4:45pm for the cleaning crew to leave. Upon arrival, we discovered that the AC for the house did not work, thankfully there were AC units in 2 of the 3 bedrooms. There was 1/2 a roll of toilet paper in the entire house, which was supposed to last 5 people through a weekend. Contacted the host and after a lot of back and forth I was told nothing could be done until the next day. We had two cars but only one parking space was provided. The welcome email mentioned free street parking but all surrounding streets were permit or paid parking only. Host had no suggestions for free parking nearby. Nice, unique property in a great location, but the management company leaves a lot to be desired.
